There\u2019s also the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.savebuffalobayou.org\/?p=9180\" target=\"_blank\">trees deliberately cut<\/a> in the park by contractors working for Flood Control. The bank shape was fine. The bayou, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.remarkableriparian.org\/pdfs\/news\/Unkempt%20May%20be%20Healthy.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">its natural plan<\/a>, had planted tall goldenrod and horseweed, young willows and cottonwoods along its banks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Flood Control District cut it all down and left bare dirt. It wasn&#8217;t a &#8220;repair&#8221; project. It was a landscaping project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, almost a year later, here\u2019s what some of those multi-million dollar banks look like.
