However, Houston has a long and tumultuous relationship with its bayous. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/filmfreeway.com\/BayouCity\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cBayou City,\u201d an inspiring film<\/a> released in 2020 and featured in the Wild Texas Film Tour, was directed and produced by Olivia Haun (Schmidt). It sheds light on these issues and the work being done to protect our bayous and streams.&nbsp; Haun is an ecologist and conservation filmmaker from Austin, Texas, and Outreach Specialist for the Wildlife Diversity Program with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Buffalo Bayou: A Right to Life<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jimolivephotography.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Photographer Jim Olive<\/a> created this beautiful short film <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=mYsLeO3DbRE&amp;t=12s\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cBuffalo Bayou: A Right to Life\u201d<\/a> for the Wild About Houston Film Festival in 2020. It is dedicated to our founding president, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.savebuffalobayou.org\/?p=3246\" target=\"_blank\">Frank C.
