Partial letter from Jones and Carter engineers in reply to comments dated July 21, 2013, from the Harris County Flood Control District, part of a lengthy exchange about how to lower the floodplain designation for MetroNational’s golf course property. This document was obtained through a Public Information request from a member of Residents Against Flooding and delivered along with related information to Mayor Sylvester Turner and city council on April 24,  2018.

LOMR refers to Letter of Map Revision, a change in the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM), or flood hazard maps. The property owner was seeking to change the floodplain map that showed the property would be flooded with two feet of water during a 100-year storm (Zone AO Depth 2).
